§ 02 — About

Katherine P is a self-taught artist. She has been making art all her life, though she only recently began pursuing it professionally.

Her work takes the form of collages with embroidery — paper, textile, and digital. Each piece is marked by stitching, a metaphor for the attempt to hold on to what is fleeting and impermanent. This theme has followed Katherine throughout her life: her childhood began with migration, and as an adult, she was forced to emigrate again. In her work, she captures these moments — a migrant's first impressions of a new city, existing only in the here and now, and the fading memories of places left behind along the way.

Katherine is captivated by layers and by the mixing of materials and techniques. She finds inspiration in the forms of the world around her — architecture, nature, the quiet life of everyday objects — transforming observation into multilayered work.

Katherine's artistic language is already distinct: layering, texture, and stitching that runs through every piece — not as decoration, but as a gesture of holding on.
